The new PCX-250EX Portable SSB HF Transceiver

The PCX-250EX SSB HF Transceiver
is designed for the harshest environments, where long battery life, ease of use
and enduring construction are demanded. The radio case is designed for the
toughest Arctic and Desert conditions, and is virtually immune to breakage.
The tough, environmentally
sealed case is totally waterproof when closed, and includes an air pressure
compensator to regulate air pressure (which can build up as a result of
atmospheric or climate changes) within the totally sealed case.
The PCX-250EX is designed to
provide up to 10W of RF output power and longer battery life than the already
highly efficient PCX-250. The transmitter is designed to feed into sub-standard
antennas that may be encountered under less than ideal conditions, and at less
than optimum heights above ground.
The unit comes complete with a
durable, ballistic nylon packsack, and extended temperature microphone.
For high noise environments, the
unit can also be configured for up to 750mW of audio power on receive, but at a
somewhat higher level of battery consumption.
